Beneath the chestnut trees of Kastani puiestee, past O. Arderi tänav and into the leafy hush of Kirikupark, Rakvere’s old district fair unfolds for one summer weekend. Wooden stalls line the shaded avenues, the scent of coffee and fresh bread drifting between them, while the town’s Linnapäevad hum on every corner. TogoSunny sets up right along the route, carrying a splash of West African colour into this quiet Estonian county town — batik, carved stools and shea butter meeting chestnut leaves and church bells.

About the fair

Kreisilaat is Rakvere’s traditional open-air fair, held every June as part of the town’s Linnapäevad (Town Days) celebrations. For one weekend, wooden stalls spread across three of the old town’s loveliest corners — the chestnut-lined Kastani puiestee, O. Arderi tänav, and the quiet Kirikupark next to the church — filling them with craft, food and the general bustle of a small Estonian county town in full summer swing.
